Degree Certificate attestation is mandatory for any individual who is applying for job in foreign countries. Attestation of your educational certificate issued by Indian institutes or universities is to prove its authenticity and genuineness.
Hence, each State has laid out a complex procedure to get your educational certificate attested by the HRD (Human Resource Development) Department.
There are 2 ways to do your educational certificate attestation, one is with HRD. Other one is without HRD. Both these procedures are legitimate, details explained below:
1. Degree Certificate along with supporting documents need to send to the University for Verification by the State HRD Department.
2. Upon completion of verification from the University, the Human Resource Development (HRD) perform attestation on the original Certificate.
3. Once the original Certificate is attestation is over from State HRD, then need to send to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi for further attestation.
4. After attestation from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi. Then the Certificate need to send to Embassy / Consulate of the host country for further attestation.
Duration: 20-30 days (depends from state to state)
1:- Degree Certificate must send for Notary & SUB Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation.
2:- On completion of Notary & SUB Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation the Original must send to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi for further attestation.
3:- Later the Original Certificate need to send to Embassy / Consulate of the host country for further attestation.
Duration: 10 days
