Emigration Clearance is require in certain nations in order to work. In the Emigration Act of 1983, passport holders must do it from the Office of the Protector of Emigrants (POE). ECR passport holders and nurses travelling to certain countries need to go through the procedure. The Indian government said that EC is require in certain Nations. Nurses travelling to certain countries for work and who hold an ECR passport can obtain the required Emigration Clearance.
Here is the list of applicants eligible for Emigration Clearance Not Required –
Diplomatic/Official passport holders
Government employees, spouses, and dependent children
Income taxpayers, their spouses, and dependent children
Professional degree holders
People with educational qualifications of matriculation and above
Seamen with Continuous Discharge Certificates (CDC), or Sea Cadets and Deck Cadets
The people with permanent immigration Visa, such as the UK, USA, and Australia Visas
Individuals with a two or three years diploma from any institute recognized by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT)
Qualified nurses, recognized under the Indian Nursing Council Act, of 1947
And People above the age of 50 years
Individuals who have stayed abroad for more than three years (could either be in one stretch or broken) and their spouses
Children up to the age of 18 years
